Safe handling and use of diisocyanates (K37-EN)

Beskrivelse
Our online safe handling and use of diisocyanates course provides documented theoretical training according to the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority. Starting from August 24th, 2023, a mandatory training requirement has been implemented for all individuals involved in the utilization or management of diisocyanates and diisocyanate-containing mixtures and products within Norway. Whether you're an employer, employee, or self-employed professional, this course is designed to equip you with the essential knowledge and skills to ensure safe practices.

This online course on the safe handling and use of diisocyanates covers both levels 1 and 2 (General Training and Intermediate Training), aligned with REACH regulation no. 2020/1149.

The purpose of this course is to provide participants with a thorough understanding of diisocyanates and diisocyanate-containing mixtures and products, along with how to establish a safe working environment and protect themselves and others.

Throughout the various sections of the course, participants will learn about the potential risks involved when working with diisocyanates, hazard communication measures (including Warning labels, Safety data sheet (SDS), Chemical registry, and Instructions for use), risk assessment, preventive safety measures, symptoms of exposure, sensitization and other themes included in REACH regulation no. 2020/1149.

Part 1 introduces diisocyanates and their applications, while Part 2 explores the health risks associated with their use. Part 3 covers risk management measures, and Part 4 addresses emergencies and first aid protocols.

Employers must ensure that all employees who use diisocyanates and diisocyanate-containing mixtures and products have received documented training.
